Not really as nurses and key workers still need to get to work, and this will just force them onto a overcrowded tube,

Yep we have uber, putting me outta business, although there’s talk of getting the black cab drivers to ferry peeps around,
Uber are a terrible company to work for as they give drivers no rights, plus the have lost their licence to work in London, but are still working because they are on appeal, after having 2 probation periods,also they are plagued by fraudulent drivers like getting others to take the test for them, and drivers using other drivers log ins (I think there was something like 16000 journeys in two months, leaving the customers uninsured if something did happen), dangerous driving (see videos on YouTube), and something like 75% rapes done by all minicab drivers were uber, and after the borough market attack their drivers refused to go in and pick up their fares, bearing in mind the people had already paid and uber were charging surge pricing, leaving it to black cabs to go in and take people home, which they did for free

Yikes, Uber is not like that here, it has a pretty good reputation in the states. I suppose it's the type of people working there, is it all the foreigners? Here, in Denver, cabs have a slimy reputation for meter bleeding and such. A cab ride from my house to the airport $80 but an uber $30.

Yep lots of ethnics, Their cheap fares here too sometimes (surge pricing) but they don’t have the outlays of the licenced taxis and taxi firms, what happens here is we get drivers from Luton (ethnics) come here to work as it’s a uni town and when they loose their licence the get a TfL roundal and come back as a uber driver (and also work with a local company) or get a Wolverhampton plate, bearing in mind there’s something like 3600 drivers who live in places far away like Cardiff and Bradford with a London licence, and the local authorities cannot control them (licenced taxis can have spot checks to make sure their car and documents are correct), plus I’d say about 75% of the work is taken by uber now, there was a case of a family wanting to go on holiday so they booked a uber to take them to Gatwick airport, driver turns up and the driver didn’t know what Gatwick was, turns out he’d only been in the country 2 weeks,

nd let the uber driver gouge the hospitals,the way hospitals do to us.
In my local paper web site nurse returns home from night shift to find home trashed and her french bulldog puppy stolen it in a shit part of Sheffield but ffs .
Thats just disgusting
