Plot-The new movie is a decades-later sequel only to Tobe Hooper’s original Texas Chain Saw Massacre, with actress Olwen Fouéré (Mandy) taking over the iconic role of Sally Hardesty from the late Marilyn Burns. Here’s the full official synopsis for the new movie… “After nearly 50 years of hiding, Leatherface returns to terrorize a group of idealistic young friends who accidentally disrupt his carefully shielded world in a remote Texas town.” “Melody (Sarah Yarkin), her teenage sister Lila (Elsie Fisher), and their friends Dante (Jacob Latimore) and Ruth (Nell Hudson), head to the remote town of Harlow, Texas to start an idealistic new business venture. But their dream soon turns into a waking nightmare when they accidentally disrupt the home of Leatherface, the deranged serial killer whose blood-soaked legacy continues to haunt the area’s residents — including Sally Hardesty (Olwen Fouéré), the sole survivor of his infamous 1973 massacre who’s hell-bent on seeking revenge.”

-Question: Would Leatherface be considered deranged in the true sense of the word? He does have a bit of mental retardation and could be a victim himself of his own family. In his mind, it would be a twisted way of helping his family survive. He can be somewhat child-like. Being easily influenced by his family's persuasions. Not fully being able to distinguish between right and wrong.
