Tut tut tut @manicsamurai, you've forgotten the number one rule of ownership of land or anything else:
"You only own land if you can defend it from others who want it."
This rule has been in place for ever. Chimps know this. If they move into another chimp clans territory they will be attacked and if they can beat off the other clan then the land is theirs.
Tigers know this, they piss on the trees.
So it is only right that Europe got to control the Americas. They had much better technology including guns, metallurgy, disease resistance, hierarchal social structures, that very basic structure called 'the wheel', ships, and of course horses.
Horses, of course, evolved in the Americas but the dumb Injuns, when they came over the land bridge during the last ice age, ate the fucking things because they did not have the brain power to realise how useful they'd be.
If the Americas had all those things before the Spanish came they could have beat them off the beaches or infected them with unknown diseases to which they had no immunity.
So you see all this nonsense about the wicked white man and all that is just modern CRT which does not take into account the reality of the situation in pure form.
