I get where you’re coming from, and it’s true that kids often absorb the beliefs and behaviors of their parents, especially in the early years. For the next decade or so, it’s highly likely they’ll be shaped by the environment and ideology they were raised in.

That said, the sins of the father don’t automatically transfer to the children.

People aren’t doomed to repeat the exact path of their parents.

Trauma, loss, exposure to different ideas, and personal reflection can all reshape them later in life.

And even if their father was irredeemable, the pain of losing him is still real for them... it doesn’t vanish just because of who he was.
