Using gore to cope with depression

I binge-watch gore when I am depressed. Do any of you all do the same?
Nope, I watch gore because it is to reminds me how fleeting our lives are and to remind myself to make most of the time I do have!
For there is so much porn to abuse myself to and so little time, o the horror, the humanity.
God gave strength to go on against all odds, no matter how much my wrist hurt.

I watch gorey stuff regardless if feeling depressed or not but, if you're suffering from clinical depression & are medicated on anti-depressants, not sleeping well (especially because you're binge-watching anything), under a doctors supervision, then it's advisable not to watch alot of content centered around death & violence- which obviously includes gore. It can compound issues like suicidal ideation just due to lack of sleep alone but, then obviously the death aspect is triggered in the viewer's mind all that time too, whereas if it were not gore but, let's say, a show about DIY Gardening, well you're not thinking about death probably then atleast.

IF you are under a medical doctor's care for your depression currently & I'm guessing you aren't because responsible docs give you information about this exact subject and do not just write a script for some anti-depressants... switch to a better doctor please.

That advice does nothing for potential content Jenny 😅

True, yet suicides are lame even when they do them on live & they're played out.
I calculate the odds of them becoming a sniper assassin at less than zero due to prior "depression" so... every community can use more boosters. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It's good to see you back. Now, if we can only find some of the rest of you Canucks. Where'd y'all go? 🤨

I kind of get it. Even if things are great for you relatively to others in your immediate life, you can always watch people suffer and die in shithole third world countries they happened to be born in. Eat a nice steak and drink a glass of fine scotch while you watch, I say.

*aren't great, obviously.

I have no empathy for suicides, never have.

Goood to be back...I missed all of your minds tremendously.
