but I personally feel that, the attention seeking behaviour is a symptom of mental illness, no sane/normal person would be harming themselves for attention, people harm themselves mostly because they want people to notice their suffering or whatever, i think it's just very insensitive to hate one these people but i am also very left leaning which influences my view on the matter, if someone is willing to harm themselves to get people to notice then they need help regardless

I agree with OP's sentiment. Self-harm is far from my favorite "subject" in gore but there's something especially f*cked up about doing extreme, irreversible damage to their own bodies. I'm especially curious of what goes in their mind after the fact, after they realize what they have done to themselves.

For me
Self harm is usually the most satisfying gore to watch, it's Self inflicted so it's somewhat guiltless.. there's the kinda frantic madness aspect to it which can be quite fun..
But also some of it is just notoriously shocking,
There's some pretty heavy Self mutilation and all of it is wince inducing, cringe worthy and usually of good quality
Nice and close, decent camera.. no shaking..
Really get to see stuff other than a blur of gooey red.. .. .
Like the medical vids but less drawn out.
Plus having done it myself tonnes I do like seeing how far others go.. or don't.
