movies Rocky (1976)

In Rocky (1976), when he runs through the Italian marketplace, the people's amused expressions as they look on are genuine.

They had no idea why a man was running back and forth, followed by a van.

The man throwing him the orange was completely improvised.

This is why modern Hollywood sucks.

Everything today is green screen, CGI crowds, and safe reshoots.

Real magic died when they stopped breaking rules like this. Rocky wouldn't get made in 2026

if rocky was made today, he/she would be played by a transexual nigger with big tits, and pride flag towel around its neck..
The truly sad thing is, this isn't a joke; this is exactly what would happen. That or we would get a reboot, "Rockette" - where a scrappy, young, 22-stone female boxer wants to win the title in memory of her dead Black dads (they were killed in a highway pileup when a drunk MAGA cap-wearing white guy crashed his pickup into them head-on, he was changing between Bible-verse radio stations on his way back from a KKK rally).

Cue lots of training montages where she constantly knocks the shit out of all the 6' plus ripped-to-fuck male boxers in peak condition, without one of them so much as laying a glove on her immaculate Jheri curls (by repeatedly doing that fucking retarded John Wick move where she jumps onto their chests and levers them to the floor).

In the actual fight she'll go up against the undefeated Apollos Creedowitz, who arrogantly struts round the ring in his Star-of-David emblazoned shorts; he'll get a couple of cheating shots in (by blowing bagel crumbs in her eyes when the ref isn't looking) before brave Roxette triumphs in the last round, after a ghostly vision of her dads 69ing each other rouses her from the canvas on the 9-count. She will then parade around the ring wearing a keffiyeh, a George Floyd t-shirt and draped in the Palestine flag before the end - a freeze-frame close-up of her sticking her tongue down her non-binary girlfriend's throat.

In fact screw this place, I'm going to start sending out screenplays.

They still love filming there specifically, in the Kensington area. They're making documentary after documentary featuring how bad the heroin/fentanyl & tranq (Xylazine) problem is as well as homelessness. They know of that area on the other side of the planet. That place and places in Chicago, & San Francisco are what foreigners see regarding the USA. 🇺🇸

If anyone wants to watch them:

• Kensington (2024) directed by Charlie Minn & about the open-air drug market

• Art of Survival (2023) by Hidden River Films & is about daily life at the Kensington storefront

• Philly Streets (2024) made in association with Channel 5 news I think, & looks at the humanitarian crisis on Kensington Ave but, also the impact on residents near Somerset & Allegheny Stations, B. Steet, etc. & the aftermath when police cleared the encampments which spread them out furture

• Kensington's Dark Side (2024) by AML Films features more real footage of the largest open-air drug market on the East Coast of the United States of America w/interviews of the people living on those streets & addicted to drugs, dealing drugs, their stories & experiences

• Surviving America's Drug Zombieland - Kensington, Philadelphia (2025) is another in-depth look at the drug epidemic there especially when tranq flooded the area mixed into the available drugs & how people are surviving in an area w/such a notorius decline & persistently plagued systemic problem.

There's tons of episodes of investigative programs that feature Kensington too.

Philadelphia is a pretty big city. Hopefully, in time, ALL cities in the US can find a answer for excessive drug use . Kensington filming is needed to bring attention to a very serious problem that is bad all over the country. To focus on one section of the city so bad that folks can't even talk about when times were better , is not really focusing on the bigger problem. How to stop people from ruining their lives. I'm proud of my city's history and I look forward to seeing a change as far as the cosmetics because nobody can make a person quit drugs until the individual is ready . We have a beautiful city and one section cannot erase the unique and prestigious history. We are a constant work in progress. I'm proud of my city.

a while back, i drove into Filthadelphia and took a nice relaxing drive all around. What a down and out place, lots of narrow streets full of sad rundown row-houses.

I walked around at night handing out a couple of twenties to the local older loses in some park. As i was leaving some young guys asked for money and i responded "the bank is closed"...haven't been there since, although center City was actually a nice enough place.

I say again. I love my City. I live in a very beautiful area of Philadelphia. I'm not going to take on the world's problems so personally that I can't see the beautiful parts. We all live in cities with criminals and drug addiction if you live in the States.

jk Philly's fine. Most parts of nyc suck too no doubt...the trick is to live in the very beautiful areas like you and i. Then life is good, right?

I'm constantly attending city council meetings about the problem areas which Kensington is one of our biggest problems. Democrats are in office and we are really at a standstill because of it. People need help and they're just not getting it.

that's a lot of emotional energy spent there but good for you. Personally i don't believe things will ever get better so i ignore all the problems and simply exist in my own little world.

I try to know what the problems are so I can avoid them that's all. They have remote meetings btw. You are right. Some things people just don't want fixed. Unfortunately.
