I could not figure out were exactly to post this or find references to it on here but is anybody here familiar with The Cabin 28 murders at Camp Keddie ? The victims were Sue Sharp , Michael Sharp, Tina Sharp (skull found years later) and Dana Wingate. Several younger children were in the cabin but spared and another daughter was spending the night nextdoor .

The murders ocurred in 1981 in Keddie California . I have seen a few crime scene photos and they were upsetting and bloody even with the removal of the victims. Law Enforcement royaly screwed up this case by not interviewing individuals, not following up on leads , ignoring tips from survivors...... needless to say it is 2014 and nobody has been charged . There are several forums dedicated to the murders and 2 documentaries. The movie The Strangers was inspired by the event.

People who would visit the cabin swore it was haunted after. People would here screaming , groaning and other noises. The cabin was torn down but we visited the camp in 2009 and just by looking at landmarks found where it stood. Extremely creepy. Like the Amityville Murders nobody heard a thing that night despite how savage the murders were and cabins were very close. It has been theorized the brutal murders were drug related, the mom Sue was the target and the boys walked in on the crime or Tina was the target as she was removed from the home.

The youngest daughter was taken out of the house but the others left ? Most think the daughter was most likely sexually abused. She had been in the past the entire case was just a sick mess.

If I remember correctly Sue Sharp was only in a night shirt and robe when the murders took place . Also the killer/killers tried to make male family friend , Dana Wingate, comfortable even though killing him. He was the one with his head on the couch cushion.

It is not so great . Even standing over the site of the cabin made me sick and my son said he could smell a sick sweet smell. My husband wouldn't speak.

I also lived in house a couple were murdered in. I was pregnant and remodeling the home and would find blood pools (dried) under flooring . I felt something bet never harmed. What sucked was that during the trial the media filmed my house almost weekly and when the defense attorneys came it upset me as they were being very disrespectful. I asked them to leave and come back with police. Still would not leave so I had to find my .38 because they became agaggressive. They left.

That's so adorable.

But, as for the rest of your story, did you experience any paranormal activity? I've always wanted to. My father recorded graves and warned me to never do that after his experiences. I would never mess with demons through a ouija board, I just want to see voluntarily revealing spirits.

That's interesting though. Been wanting to get an ouija board too (for fun). I've read many testimonies from musicians regarding paranormal events. I remember Dio said something about recording an album and this weird shit would happen around the studio, like their producer was "pushed" down the stairs for no reason.

Defense attorneys are dicks, no surprise there. I just finished this book about Richard Ramirez and during the trial one of his attorneys suggested the son of one of his victims had murdered his mom for financial reasons. The evidence pointed to Ramirez of course, but attorneys are sneaky like that.

I felt like I was being watched (not just by the media) . There was a very strong smell of roses in the room they were killed in . My cat also would not go in the room without growling and drooling . After my daughter was born we closed off the back of the house. My late husband seemed to be off in the house too.

That feeling I recognize. Supposedly demons danced around my now dead great grandmother in the room I grew up in/lived in before she died. I feel watched from the closet... But it makes me think it's too cliche to be legit. Then again, everyone who comes in my room feels the same and always mentions it without me saying anything.
I like that animals can see things we can't. My cats and dog are total sissies though. They wouldn't mess with it. I want a wolf, but that's another story.

I found out years later that the smell of sweet roses has something to due with death .I asked my son to describe the smell he smelled at Camp Keddie before he left for school this morning. Oh dear me , he turned pale and said really strong roses . I had never considered he smelled the same smell I did , just 13 years appart . I feel so bad for never asking . None of us ever want to discuss Camp Keddie after 1 trip but we have been to Columbine close to 60 times and are usually fine.

If your friends feel it too I would freak out.
