🇺🇲🇸🇴 Somali Minnesotans Temporary Protected Status ‘terminated’: Trump

(FOX 9) - President Trump announced on Friday that due to "fraudulent money laundering activity" coming from "Somali gangs", he is terminating the Temporary Protected Status (TPS) program in Minnesota.

What we know:

Posting on Truth Social on Friday evening, Trump said that "under Governor Waltz" Minnesota has become a "hub" for fraudulent activities.

"Somali gangs are terrorizing the people of that great State, and BILLIONS of Dollars are missing. Send them back to where they came from. It’s OVER" he wrote.

The backstory:

The national TPS program is granted by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to immigrants of countries who cannot return home safely due to conditions like civil war or natural disaster. A total of 17 countries are currently applicable for the designation.

Eligibility for the program is tied to each specific country designation, and Minnesota’s program falls under the DHS’ oversight.

Minnesota's TPS program currently has an existing extension through March 2026 for refugees from Somalia.

What they're saying:

Minnesota's politicians have begun to react to the Friday evening announcement.

Rep. Lisa Demuth (R-Cold Spring) released the following statement on Friday:

"I’m glad that President Trump recognizes the seriousness of the fraud problem in Minnesota. The unfortunate reality is that far too many individuals who were welcomed into this country have abused the trust and support that was extended to them, and Minnesota taxpayers have suffered billions of dollars in consequences as a result. Any individual involved in these criminal activities should be charged, held accountable, and swiftly deported if they are not lawfully present in the United States."

FOX 9 has reached out to Gov. Walz office for comment.

Dig deeper:

In recent years, Minnesota has dealt with massive fraud – most notably the Feeding our Future scheme that embezzled more than $250 million in COVID-19 relief funds.

On Friday, the 77th person involved in the scheme was charged.

Of the 77 people that have been charged so far, 56 people have pleaded guilty to their role in the scheme, and seven others have been convicted in two separate trials.

It's about fucking time. They're literally buying up our neighborhoods and pushing us out. Along with the illegal Mexicans and Ecuadorians. They made illegals eligible for state insurance, ebt, wic, rental vouchers, and etc. Making it fucked up for poor retards like myself. So I'm totally all for it.

How are they buying anything, with what money?
Tax dollars in the billions. Also keep in mind that they're tax exempt for 10 years. And there's supposedly an epidemic of autism in their community. But there's a rash of false reporting to secure extra funds. Election fraud, I will give some of them credit for coming forward and telling the local news about the ballot harvesting in the riverside apartment complex (I used to live there as a very small child in the late 80s before they were showing up in mass). A lot of them do learn English, so I will credit them with that. The new arrivals from Mexico don't care or want to learn the fucking language.

Other than that, we need to get them the fuck out of here with their bad smell and terror cells. And they are worse than Asian drivers by far!
