Let It All Bleed Out
A 29 yr old woman, 6 months pregnant, was found dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. The woman was a lawyer and an official at the National Development Bank (Banco Nacional de Fomento).

The hubby of the woman, who was his second wife, found the body in their bedroom. There was a note on the night table that was apparently written by the woman indicating that she was tired of being scammed and couldn`t take it anymore. There were reports of her husband`s ex-wife threatening her in connection with the former wife having lost custody of her children.

The dead woman was found with a .357 Magnum in her right hand that was pointed towards her head. The .357 slug entered the right front temporal section (side) of her head, exited through the left temporal section, hit her left hand near the wrist, then struck a piece of furniture before dropping to the floor. The wound caused massive facial, skull and brain damage and the bullet also severed her spinal cord.

Suicide hasn`t been officially ruled as cause of death but it also hasn`t been ruled out.

good pics Deathhand.
Not suicide, but murder. A woman carrying a life inside himself, beautiful, successful never put a bullet in the head.

See the distance of revolver and her head. It is not possible. If she was used the gun should be far way from her head.

I find it almost impossible to believe this is a suicide. That gun packs a recoil and her hand would have been thrust away from her body and the gun probably also. Certainly not still in her hand. Also, where's all the blood? The head has a powerful pumping action due to blood flow. There is very little blood I can see. If she HAD shot herself, there would be been back-scatter all over her hand and the gun yet there is virtually none. Also, to get the bullet to go from left temporal lobe to the right, she would have had to raise her arm really high to maintain that angle and they expect me to then believe her arm dropped to this current angle? Murder in the first degree.

Yeah im agreeing with davec the gun and hand is somehow in a steady position. When the kick back from a 357 would of most likely knocked, the gun out of her hand. Those guns kick like a motherfucker shot one at the range.

This story is currently going around the net and being initially described as a suicide. However there are quite a few things that do not add up to substantiate the original findings and other factors mean the authorities have changed their view to possible homicide.

The Story so far ....

Death of attorney treated as homicide

Although the preliminary autopsy data points towards suicide, the prosecutor is the case of lawyer Leidy Gonzalez is now treating the case as a homicide. He explained they must await further evidence to determine what happened.

The prosecutor Cristian Ortiz, who is investigating the suspected murder case, referred to the results released yesterday about the autopsy on the body of lawyer Leidy Juliana Gonzalez, 29, who was found dead in her own home Thursday 11
th Dec as follows.

Next to the body was found a 357 calibre revolver and a note in which the victim allegedly stated that he could not stand the fact of having been cheated on by her husband. Relatives and neighbours said on the surface they saw no reason for suicide. Also, there is the fact that the women decided to take her life when she was six months pregnant.

The coroner's report says no trace of violence or trauma other than the resultant gun shot was found on the body. The path of the bullet broke through the right side of the head, destroying the brain tissue and out the left side. (yes I know its in spanish. Sorry about that)

Ortiz stated the case will be treated as murder because the opinion of the coroner still cannot be taken as conclusive. He said that next week such evidence as Gunshot residue, ballistics, bullet paths, calligraphy and close circuit TV would be studied as part of the ongoing investigation. He insisted they seek to scrutinise all the evidence before concluding the case. He clarified that the possibility of suicide is will not be discarded, but it will be treated as a homicide based on the statements of the family. "The relatives confirmed that they were not aware of any major problem, which is why I had to take action and open the investigation as a homicide," he declared.

He said the victim's husband, also a lawyer, Freddy Flores Fabian Ferreira said that at 12:39 on Thursday he had a conversation with the woman and did not notice anything unusual in her attitude. Finally, the man came home at 15:00 and found the body.

The origin of the weapon in this case is questionable since neither the husband or the family knew of the existence of such a weapon, said the prosecutor. There is also the fact that none of the neighbours recall hearing anything that sounded like a gunshot.

She was also involved in a high profile case involving Nery Pinazo Ricardi who was indicted for money laundering and a seizure of 400 Kilos of cocaine on a plane bound to brazil from Paraguay. Ricardi is a known trafficker of drugs between the two countries.
