cartels 43 Sicarios Killed in Shootout (MX) (3 Viewers)

Users who are viewing this thread

This event took place several years ago in Tanhauto, Michoacan, Mexico, near it's border with Jalisco (CJNG territory). Federal Police raided a remote CJNG cartel-affiliated ranch and warehouse after one of their units was fired on by a truck they tried to pull over. They received word that a remote property was housing many gunmen and cartel members. About 100 Federal Police, including a Black Hawk helicopter, were eventually part of a shootout that would last for 3 hours Most of the police had come in as calls for back-ups were made by the original units). In the end, 43 sicarios and 1 police officer were dead.

The police had allegedly called, over a mega-phone, to the gunmen to surrender but they refused and continued to fire. A number of gunmen had hidden in a warehouse and were shooting at the Black Hawk when the helicopter returned fire (shooting through the corrugated tin roof) and many fled into the fields, where they were shot.

This isn't all of the photos but gives folks a good idea of how many were killed.

Imagine trying to take on a Blackhawk with a few rifles, now if they had some RPGs (which I'm surprised they did not) they may have stood a chance of downing it - but then still they would still have to deal with the ground forces - all clad in body armor while you're barefoot in jeans - and that one poor guy in his underpants (probably sleeping when the attack started).

It seems that they did have a shoulder fired rocket launcher. They were firing their rifles at the Black Hawk (it was hit 3 or 4 times) when the guy carrying this ran out into the field, apparently to try and get a better shot at the heli (he had been in the warehouse), when he either dropped it and ran or was killed near the weapon (no photo of a body with the launcher).

I will not risk officers, I will simply pound them with hundreds of artillery shells from 30km away and drop a few napalm bombs with fast planes, so they see their miserable narco weapons aren't of any use, after that just dig a big mass grave and throw all the charred bits inside and goodbye.

This nonsense is coming here folks ... 10,000,000 illegals across the border by the time the dementia patient leaves the White House. 20,000,000 if he wins a second term. Great job, dem voters!

The cartels are stupid. Full of macho, and very little good decision making. They had ample chance to win hearts and minds amongst the local population and the locals, even city folks, would flock to them and turn against their corrupt government in a heartbeat. But, they chose to use terror to keep the people they rule in line, just like Al Qaeda and ISIS. Thus, no matter how powerful their ranks are, and how rich they get, they remain marginalized in their society. At best they are warlord clans occupying the frontier. The villagers who are "loyal" to them are only so out of fear. As soon as a slight opportunity presents, they will escape the region or turn on them. Historically, there were small time warlord leaders who started off being pirates and brigands on the frontiers of existing countries, like Babur Khan (founder of the Mughal Empire), Imad al-din Zengi (founder of the Ayyubid sultanate of Egypt, Syria, and Levant), and Nurhaci (founder of the Qing Dynasty), just to name a few. Unlike these cartels, these leaders won the hearts and minds of people who interacted with them on a landslide, enabling them to acquire vast power and following in no time. It took merely a few years from them being the leader of a bandit gang to the ruler of empires that span continents.

Emperor Kangxi, the grandson of Nurhaci who expanded the Qing Dynasty into an empire that stretched from Korea, through southern Russia, and into Central Asia, explains how true leaders earn respect through people willingly admiring and following them, not through fear and subjugation. From the TV series New Dominion: The Empire of Kangxi (2001)

As someone living on the border, these guys NEED to be designated as terrorists so US forces can squash them and put a major dent into the drugs flowing into the USA. I mean ISIS took inspiration from the cartel's beheading videos ffs. But since the ATF sold them guns, I doubt the government wants to do anything about it.

On the Border Patrols website, they report about ~235,000 monthly encounters on the entire border. That's just people they've come across which doesn't include people that they don't find or those who go to cities with that stupid safe haven law. I wish that 20M number as bs but it's probably much higher. I can't believe I used to think borders were stupid and inhumane. Not having any is what's stupid.

If you were a redneck merkkkan, you believe with all you're heart that being armed with an AR-15 gives you a huge movie-like edge over a Blackhawk.

On a different note to the OP, are the Federales FINALLY doing something about their cartels!? This is like the second thread in less than a week that I saw a major operation against the cartels!

Did Biden send them a strongly-worded letter after those Americans were kidnapped and a couple of them killed?

Edit:

Nevermind, this is really old news.....my bad....

Well it's easy. Helicopters have little armor and the door gunner is easy to hit. Pilot as well. Anyone with marginal shooting ability could have taken down the heli.

The LAW was not used, you have to extend it to fire the rocket. It is also really shitty for hitting a helicopter. Great for taking out an armored police vehicle or room.

Great post

But don't you find it odd that only one cop died in this versus 43 armed dudes?

I mean it makes little sense I from what I can tell most only had one magazine of ammo, most had no gun at all hell they even shot the dude with nothing but underwear on. Given that cops just murdered everyone. gun or not. Some of them have nice weapons more than capable of killing most armored officers and even eliminating the helicopter.
Possibly they were all thugs with no real experience or training but why would you hire people like that and give them a M-4 or AK ?

Why don't they simply ruthlessly pound and pound with HE artillery and/or Napalm for hours over the heads of these trashy vermins useless fucks, good 4 nothing POS, instead or risking personel to frag them?
