Agora: A movie about Hypatia

Gorgutz

Post-Mortem

A historical drama set in Roman Egypt, concerning a slave who turns to the rising tide of Christianity in the hopes of pursuing freedom while also falling in love with his master, the famous female philosophy and mathematics professor Hypatia of Alexandria.
My opinion: Very good movie, a bit perhaps too focused on Hypatia's work but still very objective. An objective vision of the time when christianity emerged as the chaotic, ignorance-driven force that destroyed an ancient knowlegde that took 12 centuries to rediscover. You can see the infights between both christians and jews and the gradual seize of power in the hands of the cross bearing masses.

PS: fuck judeochristianity.
