Periodically, I go through local dumpsters for discarded PC's. The reason I do this is so I can harvest the hard drives and go through the content therein.

No, in fact I have a "deadman" switch for my youngest brother who lives in Va. (he was a part of the developers for the "S" in "https" in the 90's at Fannie Mae), I need HIM too sweep in, collect my data, hardware, and all my work from the music biz. (40+ years)

If you're a rated A+ tech...HOW do you get a "clicking" HDD to spin up again? (and NO banging ON it or it's completely DEAD) Just ONCE needed to harvest data? Ancient chinese "secret"....LOL!
