They look like Flying Foxes. I've always wanted to see them up close as they're one of the largest species of bat. I hope they're able to move them safely or cull them responsibly. Beautiful creatures, bats. The whole Chiroptera Order is a biological engineering wonder

Don't take what I say seriously...

They are black flying foxes. They migrate from camp to camp. North Queensland where Ingham is, is one of the only areas of mainland Australia that isn't in drought at the moment. The fruit bats will cover great distances to get to areas with food. The dumb rednecks( which Oz is mainly made up of) don't realise that when conditions improve else where the bats in that colony will thin out.
