Back story, Brazil:

Full quote:
"A 64-year-old driver died on Saturday morning (31) after being hit by a pickup truck while closing the hood of his own vehicle under an overpass on the ERS-509, in Santa Maria, in the Central Region of Rio Grande do Sul. The victim's identity was not disclosed.

According to information from the Integrated Center for Public Security Operations (CIOPSP), the accident occurred around 8:25 am. Surveillance camera footage captured the moment when the man was driving a Volkswagen Gol towards the city center when the car's hood unexpectedly opened. He then stopped the vehicle in the left lane to try to close it.

Shortly after, a Fiat Toro pickup truck collided with the rear of the Gol. With the impact, the driver was thrown between the viaducts and landed under the BR-158 interchange, succumbing to his injuries.
Traffic in the area had to be completely blocked to allow for the removal of the vehicles involved and the cleaning of the road. The Military Highway Police Command responded to the incident, with support from the Federal Highway Police.
The driver of the Fiat Toro, whose identity and age were also not released, did not suffer serious injuries. The victim's body was sent for autopsy.
The circumstances of the accident will be investigated by the Homicide and Personal Protection Police Station (DPHPP) of Santa Maria."
