disaster Better Stake That Net Down Better

Omg, this reminds me of me on my first intermediate slope the 1st time I ever went skiing as an adult. I went off into a wooded area, off the slopes, and landed in a little creek made by the runoff. It was horrible. Eventually, the safety patrol came and I was okay, just had the wind knocked out of me and my bindings were set so tight I couldn't get up with my skis on. 🤦🏼‍♀️ I definitely didn't try a black diamond that trip.

Indeed. I was too busy being preggers the year he died but, thanks... I had forgotten he died skiing. He could've crashed going that hard in Tahoe and been fine but he hit that tree. In Tahoe and most ski resorts out west, they say otherwise though, the snow is powder soft and the slopes are not icey like what they have at Snowshoe in the mid-Atlantic for skiing, or even Vermont. You had better know how to ice skate first if you're not going out west.

Back story, or rather, a rectification, from the side of the ski resort "Ski Kashkulak" :

Full quote:

"We didn't want to make a public statement out of concern for the girl's health and the stress she was experiencing! We contacted her relatives and offered assistance. We also contacted friends accompanying her, whose phone number we took on the day of the incident (we have all the screenshots). We provided immediate first aid. Currently, false information is being disseminated on behalf of the victim and her relatives, which is not true. We are forced to publish a retraction with all the information, which will also demonstrate the victim's falsehood, as the base has a 24/7 video surveillance system.

The video clearly shows the entire trajectory of the vehicle and what was happening on the slope. There was no man, children, or other obstacles, and there was plenty of room to complete the braking maneuver. 484 meters of track in 30 seconds! Today, all of the victim's statements were deleted from social media.
The local police officer recorded a cut in the protective netting, not a flight under it.

Our nets always had reinforcements at the top and bottom, and there was no way the victim could have flown under the netting.
The netting was replaced because it was unsafe to leave the old one with the cut.
Videos of similar incidents show that the nets catch and operate as they should .
Now, relatives are blaming us, accusing us of negligence, inaction, and indifference, offering opinions on matters they are not competent in without waiting for an official investigation and refusing to engage in dialogue. Due to comments from some users, personal attacks, and the national issue, we are closing comments on this post!"

Whoever said she could graduate off the bunny hill should have to be the one to put her back together again after that launch.
