Beyond Meat fails

Personally I think faux meat is a fad will never reach mass acceptance. Despite Beyond Meat's and other's claims there's nothing peer-reviewed to say its healthier, its not without its own environmental impact and any product I've ever tried tasted like shit.

I'm not against plant based protein and even enjoy all sorts of tofu but this demonization of animal protein, ranching, etc. is just stupid.
Fuck plant based protein and pussies that buys that shit!!

Well, I actually did go out today to try this new fake meat/shit. Now, I've never eaten actual shit (although some black fast food worker may make me a liar here), but this thing tasted like I'd imagine shit would taste like. Expensive, and almost completely tasteless, except for the shit part. I had to brush my teeth to get the shit taste out of my mouth. Thumbs down. The best part was the pickle, which isn't saying much for the so called burger. Stop trying to copy the real thing. I'm off to a real steakhouse soon for a filet mignon. Yummy!

It’s lower because they can’t get the ingredients for it…..other than that it’s a flagship money maker……me personally, rare steaks and greasy burgers for me.

Sakimi, a carrot-based salmon alternative, and Unami, an eggplant-based eel alternative. Another California company called Sophie's Kitchen uses konjac, a fibrous Asian root vegetable with a rubbery texture, to make fake salmon and tuna.
Sounds heavenly. Of all the adjectives that get my mouth watering when it comes to describing food, 'rubbery' and 'fibrous' are always near the top of the list. Maybe only topped by 'rancid' or 'cancerous'

Wow you soo proud that you eating animal corpses..
I sure am, I know that. I have a theory; every once in a blue moon you get a steak, burger, whatever that is just sublime; texture, taste, everything perfect. Now I firmly believe that these come only from animals that were terrified at the end and didn't want to die - so maybe more intelligent than their peers? Now THOSE are the ones you want, seriously good eats.
