This unforgettable April earthquake is regarded as one of the worst natural disasters in US history, as it left 80% of the “golden” city in complete ruin and claimed the lives of over 3,000 individuals. Worse, over half of its population was left homeless following the horrific quake.

That's pure determination.

Above the Canadian officers were checking everyone's supply, food etc. if it's enough and no one gets in trouble later in winter. Some tons were needed to enter Canada legally. The gold diggers (and their families) had to do this way 'countless' times for days/weeks. Everyone liked the way down again using stuff as sheds.
