You could be right, but it seems to me that a scam would involve as few as possible. One gunman could have pulled off a scam and then they wouldn't have to be concerned with a large group of primates keeping their secret.
I don't think they're smart enough to expose him, they're probably treating it like a GTA mission and have no clue he's the owner. He probably sent them to a few convenience stores after to throw off the scent, but I suspect he closed his stores after the robbery and walked away with double the value of his inventory
Could very well be. As far as I know there is a very limited black market for gemstones however there is a thriving market for gold and other precious metals. I'd be hard pressed to buy from this jeweler anyway given his lack of professional attire
