A woman in Tennessee was arrested after she called 911 to complain that her hamburger “tasted funny.”
According to the complaint, posted on the Smoking Gun, Donna Marie Nichols called the emergency line twice from a pay phone in front of a liquor store.
When police arrived to arrest her for misusing the system, she “stated that she had called the Hardee’s [where she had purchased the burger] prior to calling for police assistance.”
She said the Hardee’s promised to return her money if she came back to the store, but decided to call the emergency line instead.
Nichols was arrested and booked into the Roane County Jail.
