A driver ran over a man who assaulted him late Sunday afternoon (16), on Rua Ana Bilhar, in Bairro Meireles, in Fortaleza. During the action, the driver lost control of the car and even hit a Beetle parked in front of a condominium.
According to the driver who caused the accident, he was standing in the car on another street and had his cell phone stolen by the man who was on
foot.
He claims that he followed the suspect through the streets of the neighborhood and when he reached that point tried to get the device back, but the criminal tried to
escape.
At that point, the driver accelerated and hit the robbery suspect as he crossed the street. On impact, the man hit by a car was thrown to the ground. The car only stopped when it hit a Beetle, which was thrown against the gate of the condo.
The hit-and-run suspect fell a few seconds to the sidewalk, then got up with difficulty and left the scene. Witnesses claim he was shepherding cars in the area.
