My job has a program that hires a significant number of lifers with possibility of parol. Something I learned from all the hardened inmates who served over a decade(s) is "You can tell everything about a man based on his shoes". For example, if another inmate is showering with his boots on, shits about to go down. I believe this holds true outside of prison scenarios. Flip flops on a fucking construction sight?!
