Interesting news report from the Mail Online outlining difficulties in acquiring the drug Pentobarbital which is currently used in executions for criminals on death row in various states across America. Pentobarbital is used as part of a three injection method, or injected on its own depending on which state your in. However manufacturers are refusing to supply it to states using it for executions. This was used because of a shortage of the drug sodium thiopental part of the three injection method (used to put inmates to sleep).
Prisons have many inmates on death row waiting for execution and in Ohio a judge ruled a new method needs to be in place by Oct4th due to an execution that's scheduled to take place in November.

It would appear some states are seeking to use "Compounding Pharmacies" to mix small batches of drugs for specific clients. Others are looking at new methods including gas chambers.
