It's very, very rare that an eagle pair lay more than two eggs. It's also very rare that sibling rivalry results in an eaglets death. When that does happen it's usually because of one or both parents being new and still learning, a lack of food source or both. How is it with these eagles when there are too many young ones? Or do they have always only one or two eggs? I've seen a docu about birds of prey (can't remember the sort anymore) where the biggest of them rolled the eggs and the smaller sibling out of the nest to get all the food.
