All credits go to wskrsnwings and her love of this nest. Without her, I wouldn't have been able to get those screen grabs.
Thank you, Miss.

In these screen caps, I see two very large armored catfish carcasses(over by Harriet).
And also a new bobble in the form of a pinecone. Gotta love M, always bringing his lady presents.

They catched a pig?
Nice post, we say 'Kropf' to 'crop' almost the same.
There's a proper butcher shop close by and also a grocery store. Last week M brought home chicken. They hunt live food like no tomorrow but are also slick opportunists. They've both been seen dumpster diving, lol.

Ahh, I thought maybe someone would feed them. But it shouldn't be done if the birds have everything around and live in a quite natural area.

I'm sure it happens around the country. The eagle population has grown immensely over the years. They are showing up in states where they have never nested before. If you get caught feeding or otherwise interfering with them or a nest, it's a federal offense and off to the big house you go. Even having an eagle feather in your possession can land you in jail.

They are a good looking bird, despite their nest stealing tendencies. It's what they do.

Lots of vocals going on in this clip by both the owls and the hawks.
Very quietly... it's almost haunting.

They blend into the nest beautifully in this stage of life. Learning, imprinting, testing out their space.
All under the safety of camo feathers, eagle style.
If they had to be still on a moments notice from Harriet or M... they would flatten, hold still and not a bird from above would ever lnow they were there.
Ain't nature grand?
:)

OMG!!! Thank goodness he wasn't hurt. Poor M. And Harriet is screaming like crazy, kinda good the sound is broken for that one.

They are as big as Harriet and M now. Beautiful wing span.
The nest is holding up quite well, still has crib rails even.
But not for long... when all four are in there, it is super crowded, lol.

Right now... wet babes.
Been raining since last night.
We have E-12(female) the first layed and hatched, sleeping smack in the middle of the nest.

E-13(male)preening and keeping an eye on the sky.

He even cleaned a bit of grass off her tail, while he was at it.
Definitely a child of M.
