E16 is on a mission, got a wing sticking out.
    20200401_184717.png

There'll be 2 little goobers sitting there tomorrow at roughly 24 hours apart in age.
Which is fantastic as it will keep the sibling bonkfests to a minimum.

I remember some time ago you said that you thought they held off brooding until the second egg was laid! Boy did you call THAT one right!! I am almost as excited as if I was having a baby!!! LOL.

Thank you for this amazing share dev!! Just too cool and, yes a miracle!!

You've stayed with this from first to now!! There's still an awful lot ahead of this family. It's a late hatch. Hoping that'll prove a good thing! I'm worried about biting bugs..flies, mosquitoes, sand flees. Even ticks can be a problem this late in the season. If good vibes means anything, this family will be the most successful of all.

Please keep me on notice dev, please.
Again, thank you for sharing this wonderful part of nature! Hugs of congratulations for you! 😊

Welcome to the world lil ones 😃💕

I'm starting to get a bit worried. That little wing has been sticking out for almost 24 hours.
This babe is gonna get really mad and kick out, or very weak and give up. The nutrients inside the egg only last for so long at this point of a hatch in progress.

Come on baby, you can do it.

That little bit of a struggle to get out, put E16 just a tad behind E15. But Harriet and M are really good at maintaining most of the bonking and he'll catch up in size quickly.
One way they'll do that is feed E15 into a food coma... exhibit A, that enormous crop he has in the last picture.
Both parents in the past have covered the larger chick with grass in order to feed the smaller one.
And they tandem feed often, so there's no fighting until they both get bigger and realize a fight for food isn't necessary.

    Congratulations to Harriet and M15.
    Way to persevere.

    Both with full crops.
E16 is looking at Mom in the attic.
Not sure what E15 is looking at, tbh. Maybe spotting some birds flying over.

Wet birdies, Harriet stays in the nest with them when it storms and they both try to get under her, lol.
