Balls deep in the dead.
A gangrene thread! (Yes, it would fall under the umbrella term of 'necrosis')

A 72-year-old woman who also developed gangrene after being treated for septic shock; Streptococcus Pneumoniae was found in the bloodstream, but the medication used for treatment was deemed to be the cause of the gangrene.
She underwent quadruple amputation:

Alas, there is a happy ending to this post.

Here are some images of the recovery process -- properly treated patients whose conditions resolved.

Get to running when the Ghoul is a coming. 💀
That hand that looks like Dracula's garden rack was the most shocking to me. You could chase people like kids threating to toch them with that thing.

Local complications of Bothrops snakebites in the Brazilian Amazon:

Here's some progression / before & after photos.
The first two get worse.

A 49-year-old diabetic man with dry gangrene of the digits:

A 41-year-old man with haemophilus influenzae infection; while he was in sepsis, staph aureus was found to have caused further infection. He died on the 34th day of hospitalization with gangrene in all of his limbs:

These ones depict improvement ... in a sense.

A 49-year-old Pakistani diabetic with gangrene of the foot (primarily toes):

All three of these show the effectiveness of limited access dressing -- negative pressure aids in the patient's recovery.
