Brooklyn prosecutors released footage showing gangs firing more than 180 rounds during violent shootouts in the streets of Brooklyn.
DA Eric Gonzalez and NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said the violence left seven people shot, including a 17-year-old killed by friendly fire and a 16-year-old bystander left paralyzed by a stray bullet while walking to Starbucks after football practice.
Authorities say the shootings involved rival gangs from Coney Island and central Brooklyn, including FOG, Koney Sides, Folk Nation, WOOO, and Choo.

It's overall less impressive when you realize they waited to indict them until the one teen died of their injuries because these Coney Island, Brooklyn gangs are mostly all part of the larger 59 Brim Bloods Gang (FOG & Koney Sides anyway) and did atleast 16 shootings all together but are actually responsible for many more, well supposedly. I guess they couldn't get them for murder until there was an actual homicide but still, they hit several civvies & paralyzed one in addition to the dead 17 YO. No one wants to pay NYC real estate prices to live in an active gang riddled war zone & in the past decade the prices have doubled in Brooklyn. In some of the emerging & gentrified neighborhoods they tripled during 2014-2024. That's like Manhattan pricing now.
