There was a similar case in Austria not long ago. A hunter/ranger who had a large basement full of weapons, they got sized after he shoot himself (poaching and murder cases) and the cops did a look at his house.

Two, or if there's a reason (hunter) up to ten, museums and sports clubs are exceptions. The laws got stricter after the attacks in Paris in 2015.

Not correct.

There are 4 Categories:
A: Fully automatic and forbidden weapons
B: Pistols, Revolvers, semi automatic rifles, semi automatic and bolt action shotguns
C: Bolt action and single loading rifles
D: Single loading shotguns

A: you can in general have 0 of these except you have a special permit which is hard to get.
B: you can have two. after five years you can have five without any further reason. everything else depends on your reasons. shooting sports, collecting or hunting can be valid reasons to have more. i know a man which has about 400.
C: unlimited
D: unlimited (D will become C in december)

the laws did not get stricter because of the Paris shooting. some changes where made, but they where mostly necessary changes (some more strict - others more liberal).

fun fact: pump action shotguns are A, semi automatic and bolt action shotguns are B and single loading shotguns are D
