Cut the notch in the tree trunk pointed towards where you want the tree to fall. 30 seconds with of simple math and planning could have landed that tree somewhere better, like the concerned Karen neighbors bedroom

What an idiot, hard to tell but it doesn't look like he cut a notch and didn't leave a hinge at all. Looks like he just cut in a circle all the way around the tree. He also left most of the remaining weight at the top facing towards the jeep and garage with that huge limb. Someone revoke his chainsaw privliges immediatly.
