This family of four took shelter in a basement stairwell of their apartment building during an Israeli airstrike but did not survive the attack.

This looks more like the result of a Hamas execution of dissenters portrayed as casualties of Israeli action and/or relocated corpses of dead Hamas fighters with posed "extras" rather than actual casualties. There is a total lack of damage to the walls, black bin liners, clothes etc that you would expect for a lethal airstrike and a seeming total lack of injuries on the two women - All combined with a history of staging pictures and video or borrowing them from Syria and Iraq - Green shirted 'sniper victim' with no injuries in a highly edited film (or he had teleportation move), the 'school attack', guns removed from corpses of Hamas operatives killed by Israeli strikes to imply they were civilians etc etc.

I'm not saying that innocents aren't killed, it's almost impossible when human shields both voluntary and involuntary are used, but I tend not to take many of the pics coming out of Gaza entirely as portrayed - There's too many reasons not to.

Ya, it's hard to say with that set of pics. It clearly wasn't a direct hit but if a strong enough blast occurred near them it would have been able to cause the damage that we can see. There are bits of debris on and around the bodies showing some sort of explosion happened nearby: perhaps a blast outside of a doorway (it looks as though there might be a doorway that is out of the picture). The two foremost bodies sustained visible injuries (they would have been closest to the doorway) while the daughter and mother were further back in the stairwell. We can't see their injuries but they may well have just had the air sucked out of them when the blast went off and created that 'vacuum effect' along with the blast concussion also creating internal injuries (note the daughter bleeding from one ear).

There is blood on the stairs and I think that the man in the front died there but was moved; hence the drag marks in the blood on the floor. If people needed to move to and fro on that staircase then they would have moved that body out of the way.

Two Palestinian men armed with a butcher knife and a gun attacked a synagogue in Jerusalem, resulting in the deaths of 4 worshippers plus the deaths of the two attackers who were shot dead by police.

The photos aren't that spectacular but show that the scene was a bit messy.

Update - new photos.

This is a mix of casualties on the Palestinian side of the conflict with Israel. I'm not posting these for their political impact but for the gore impact; which sadly involves babies and children.

Images like this tend to produce strong feelings/emotions among people, for one side or the other, but it'd be cool if the racial jabs/slurs can be kept to a minimum or not posted at all. That sort of discussion can take place in the FLH.
