Watch her get charged for that. He didn't pose any direct danger to her, he was actually running away when she shot him. It does not count as self defence, it counts as attempted murder. (I'm not a lawyer I don't know the laws)

This is from 2015.
She didn't hit him it was a Texas style warning shot but, she was indicted for dangerous conduct, bond set at $10k, I didn't see anything about if she ended up with a jury nullification but, because it's Texas, definitely plausible & good for her.

Your exctally right. You can only shoot someone advancing on you...if you shoot them in the back you're going to jail. She might get off with a tickle on the wrist though depending on her judge.

I recognize that bank building in the background. That is Bellmead which is on the outskirts of Waco. This apparently happened at least 2 years ago because they tore down that building and built a new one. It's still a bank
