Personal trainer Eduardo Alves, 31, was arrested for assaulting a homeless person in Jardim Roriz, in Planaltina, in the Federal District, Brazil, after he caught the victim having sex with his wife in her car. The scene of the violence was recorded by surveillance cameras in the neighborhood.
According to information, Eduardo's wife and mother-in-law went out to help the man who was on the street, but then the two separated. According to the physical educator, he would have been worried about his wife, since he couldn't reach her by phone.
In testimony, Eduardo said that he "would have prayed to God" and asked to find the woman, it was then that he went to the Parish Elementary School and, when he approached the vehicle in which his wife had left, he caught the woman and the homeless person having sex in the car. It was then that the man would have entered the vehicle and started beating the man.
Eduardo told police that he believed it was a case of rape. But his own wife stated, in testimony, that the sex was consensual and she also said that she had an interest in helping vulnerable people through the church. At the hospital, she reportedly told a friend that she had received a "message from God" to help the man she was caught having sex with.
