A 36-year-old man allegedly murdered his wife on Sunday night as he suspected her fidelity. He then surrendered to
police on Monday morning.
Mallesh alias Mallappa, a resident of of Padmanabhanagar near Banashankari II Stage, was married to Indira Mallesh, 34, for 12 years; the couple has a nine-year-old daughter. According to preliminary investigation, a WhatsApp message from Indira's colleague popped up on her phone and Mallesh noticed it. "Mallesh had been accusing Indira of having an affair with her colleague. On Sunday, he saw a WhatsApp message on her phone. He shouted at Indira, saying despite repeated warnings, she was continuing her relationship with him," police said.
The fight continued till dinner time, after which Indira went to bed. "While she was fast asleep, Mallesh stabbed Indira to death and spent the night next to her body. He surrendered at 9am on Monday," police said.
