It looks like it. They check the nasal airway before the crunching. There’s another video on here where a Chinese guy shoves his fingers down the nostrils cracking the septum back into place. That one looked worse than this.

ENT (ear nose and throat) surgery is quite barbaric. It’s just most civilised places would put the patient to sleep or sedate them.
