Unlike trumpville....there are three parties in Canada. The reigning Liberal Party, which has it's support primarily in Eastern Canada(that's where the majority of Canada's 40 million people live). The Progressive Conservative Party(fast becoming more extreme right-wing) who are the official opposition and finds it support primarily in western Canada, especially in rural areas. Finally the NDP(New Democratic Party). A left-wing socialist party who have never formed a Fedral Government in Canada. They have formed Provincial Governments in provinces throughout Canada. It's rather easy to criticize this video and carp all over them and the Liberal Party but holy cow.......compared to MAGA in the United States, the Libs and the NDP almost look sane and normal. lol Just go to a trump rally or watch maga beign interviewed. So bloody funny but rather scary at the same time.

I'd argue that there are only two parties in Canada. The Conservatives and the Liberal/NDP. And I'm not just calling the Liberal/NDP as a single party just because of this daft coalition they've formed but also because they're so ideologically similar they might as well be collapsed into one.

I also challenge that claim that the CPC are becoming more right wing and that their support is only in Western Canada. Their placement on the political map, like any party, depends on a frame of reference. Yes, they're absolutely more right than the Liberals or NDP but they're no where near the position of Trump or even the US Republicans at large. In Canada that space is occupied by Bernier and the PPC who are only getting ~1% of the popular support. And the CPC are getting their support from across Canada. That's in part because of a renunciation of the Liberal/NDP policies but more importantly the embracing of CPC ideology.

As for population breakdown, yes the majority still reside in Ontario & Quebec but that continues to shift to Alberta, BC and even Saskatchewan. Central Canada no longer has the stranglehold on federal seats.
