My EMT friend sent me this pic, and the person who forwarded the pic to the forensic site he runs told him the whole story. He passed the story along to me.

I found something from a rival gore site, that this happened in Ohio back in 2004 and was a successful suicide attempt by firecracker. So the story I was told was partially correct: this did happen in the US, and was indeed a suicide, but still a far cry from what really unfolded....

I'll ask him when he gets back from Minnesota. He moved it to a different URL recently. The URL he previously used is now defunct, but it was an obscure site (much like the new one)

Do you like the Sin city? I personally could never spend more than 2 weeks at a time in the actual city itself. I've grown contempt for touristy locations. Luckily, my part of Wyoming (Gillette area) is far from the "tourist trap" that the Yellowstone area and Vegas can be. It's a boom-or-bust, oil town.... rednecks and roughnecks galore.... that, to me, is its killer flaw. Sometimes, I hate it with a consuming fiery passion but it's my home. I was born in the western part of the state (also an oil town) and relocated here for work in the industry when I was in my early 20s (this was going on 16-17 years ago). I raised my kids here, and they hated it.... they now reside with their mom in AZ
