Police SPD have released video from a non-fatal OIS that took place on July 14th involving a suspect armed with a sword who unsheathed the weapon and began m

When officers arrived at the scene, they found the suspect armed with a sword outside of his home. Crisis negotiators attempted to de-escalate the situation and communicate with the suspect, who was suicidal.

At this time, the suspect stood up, removed the sword from its sheath, and went towards the officers, swinging the sword, police said.

According to Sacramento police, the suspect was then transported to a local hospital by the Sacramento Fire Department, where he is currently in critical condition.
