Dejian Zeng spent 12 hours a day attaching one screw to iPhones. As part of his summer project, the NYU grad student went undercover for 6 weeks at a Pegatron factory in Shanghai. He lived on-site in a dorm with 7 other people and got to experience what really goes into making the popular mobile device. He tells us what it was like.

sounds like suicide rate was high there at the factory at some point. instead of improving the quality of life,lets just set up netting and put a pink room in.

Doesn't seem too bad. It is better than slaving away in a rice field. I have no idea how far $450 per month goes there, in the US that is way below the poverty level, but it might not be bad earnings in China.
