PEAK "analog" white coolness, is why. Kinda off topic but this was my main baby, until the late 90's, when I switched to the eMu chipset for digital work. Now it's the Mackie 400mbs system. We ALSO had a 14.4 kbps NCP format internet gateway connection at the "Hideout", over eight foot dishes and the Hughes aerospace network. The 80's rocked, and we even did a very crude MTV style video a couple of times w/o SMPTE synch.I get why people are so obsessed with the whole '80s retro thing now - because life was fucking good then.... fuck all to worry about other than whether to watch The Raccoons or Battle Of The Planets and necking cans of Quattro, break out the ZX Spectrum and cross your fingers the shitty tape deck would load up; you could visit anywhere in the UK (other than shitpile London) and not see a single dusky face, it was heaven
