Happened in my state, not far from me. She was 22.

Poor girl bled to death alone...and not one of those fuckers even tried to help or comfort her. Tragic

Well I don't think it will happen any time soon no matter what but, the federal grand jury last October did agree to it being a capital offense and so he will face federal prosecution, a federal jury, and the death penalty IS on the table! I've never heard of a motion being granted to allow the kids of an inmate eat their remains but hey, we live in strange times since the plandemic & all. So, ya never know...
Had he not did this crime on that train, they might have had to charge him at the state level. North Carolina does have the death penalty but, there's a de facto moratorium that has been in place since 2006 there. It is also the state that let him and 3,499 additional inmates out early due to the state settling the NAACP v. (name I can't remember) case where & when prisoners complained they needed to be let out of jails & prisons early, due to covid-19 stuff, & they got out early. He was let out 6 months early then.
Anyway, because it is a capital case now, you & I may be old and gray before they kill him.
