That's a tough one to figure out what's going on. It looks like there were at least four of them and one didn't make it out.
There was one guy ahead of King Tut and two behind him. One behind didn't make it. That was the fat guy wearing shorts at the beginning.

The train doesn't clear the tunnel by only 4", could have just been a man and put your back to the wall and turn you're head. Would have been fine, probably...
Blair Witch Project did it perfectly. I was a teenager when it came out, and it was a ton of fun.

@Rick James Blair witch project is a great example. I was only 10 when it came out, scared the hell out of me. There was a tad bit of gore incorporated too, it was very well done imo
