I am currently doing a web design course (certificate 4 internet technologies (web development)) and have been wondering what productivity tools are worth looking at.
I've been looking at chatGPT for things such as transpiling, code generation, researching, viewing videos and compiling summaries, generating dummy data to test databases, etc, etc.
I plan to start doing some work with grapesjs to hopefully speed up mock ups of webpages(I know that wireframing is usually the standard starting point after the mood board, but Photoshopping a whole wireframe literally takes me longer than writing out the html and CSS by hand, so I've decided not to bother wireframing, I'll just go from moodboard straight to mockup, and from what I've seen grapesjs is kind of like Dreamweaver but it has better features, extensions, and it's open source) so if anyone can give me some tips on good extensions, or better alternatives for a WYSIWYG editor then I would be happy about that; also be good to hear of anyones experiences with grapesjs or alternatives
Vscode is the code editor I use; I would love some good extensions to really speed up and clean up the coding experience for CSS, html, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL; I'll be working for and by myself, so productivity needs to be at a maximum whilst not impacting output quality
If anyone has any productivity tools that they swear by, then please let me know what they are, what makes them so useful, and why they should be considered above other options
Probably a bit strange that I'm asking this, but I've found heaps of good help in strange and unexpected places lol so I figured fuck it; might be worth a shot
I'm also shit as fuck with CSS, just saying
