Must have been around 13, was at a friend's place whose dad ran an auction house. Anyhow he'd brought back some antique shotgun and me and W were trying to find out what it was with Google image searches (bit of a flawed technique). Anyway we ended up finding this somewhat famous gore image of a guy who had blasted his brains out. It led us to bestgore I think (sorry guys). Anyway I was immediately just.. obsessed aha, but he wasn't so keen. I'd always been a bit of a newshound from a young age and in some way the gore and the news just clicked together to me.. (yep.. yeeeppp..) so I ended up finding the cartel blogs, then documenting reality and all sorts of what I just considered uncensored news at the time.. lots of crime scene investigations etc etc.. then I realized most people were actually really shocked by this stuff so I use to sort of get off on showing all my mates (everyone used to "chill" at my place when I was younger, liberal parenting, could smoke weed, play guitars all night, listen to rap for the thug types and mad metal for me and j "he'd got into guitar hero" so.. he could tolerate my blackened tastes) but yeah I used to sit them around getting high trying to shock them as much as possible.. found goregrish, used to appall my then "online girlfriend" (she did come over from America to try and live with me but realised I was actually nuts after.. well not long, poor gal lmao, wasnt just an act).. and fuck knows really just loved the stuff and definitely loved this site in particular, funny members, funny comments and the content is just first class! Beats any other sites (plus the actual forum part of this site is an awesome bonus)

Also as a kid (pre teens) I used to love horror and war films always remember the hammer hitting the guy in Texas chainsaw, and his convulsions.. just brutal, then scenes from blue velvet, saving private Ryan weirdly and flags of our fathers etc etc (full metal jacket! Brutal at that age). Musically I loved the shocking darker sicker stuff and I went through a very suicidal hardcover self harming stage (no pride and no pics people, sorry.. was a very personal thing culminating in a few weeks of intensive care after doing my femoral and axillary artery, then trying to push a fire poker through my chest, passed out.. strange one)

So I guess
I'm just a bit morbid aha (I look like a bloody hippy that's the shame of it really lol, used to be a goth who hung with thugs and stoners though... And bagheads..)

Always, never, and forget about it.

For me it's simply curiosity. When I was a kid I would watch the news about wars and accidents and I always wanted to see the images.
