A 60-year-old woman, identified as Maria Neuza do Nascimento, was the victim of feminicide in the city of Jeremoabo , Bahia, last Saturday, February 25, 2023.

According to information from the Military Police , the victim was stabbed with a dagger by a man identified as Marcos, in the Sirica village, in the rural area of the city.

The victim was rescued and taken to the hospital in the city of Paulo Afonso, however, due to the seriousness of the injuries, she could not resist and died early on Sunday, 26. The case is being investigated by the Civil Police of Jeremoabo.

The weapon used in the crime, a dagger, was found near the scene of the crime and seized by the police. So far, the motive for the crime is unknown.
