The Egyptian wing of ISIS has already made itself known with previous video releases, including this one or this one. Now they are back with another release from the Sinai peninsula, this time depicting the execution of two men – one by beheading, the other by gunfire. The video is titled “A Message“.
At around 0:37, the video flashes stills of dead soldiers. At 0:42, a soldier in flip flops is shown kicking a captive. Later in the video, a captive of the Islamic State delivers “the message” the video is titled after. In his message, he apparently calls on the Egyptian army to repent.
A mujaheddin who gives speech before the beheading had his voice digitally distorted – I wonder if the purpose of that was to prevent him from being identified as an Israeli. His name allegedly is Abu Abdullah Kamel, and his message was to announce that he “can defeat 10 armies, like the one of al-Sisi“.
At the end of the video, a finger pointing mujaheddin speak in front of a captured tank on which a message reads something along the lines of “Sawlat Al-Ansar Part 2 Coming Soon”.
