I worked beef processing in TX in my early adult years. Animal slaughter and rendering is very clinical, not gory at all.

Probably the goriest thing seen there was the hide removing device, where it essentially yanks the entire hide off a carcass in one swoop. Very efficient, pretty incredible technology.

I suppose the kill floor could psychologically impact someone, if they’re not steeled towards it. The majority of the processing, though, nah. There’s so many people working their own very specific part, you don’t really associate that with a living creature less than an hour ago.

Try reading a thread before adding to it.

Pigs going to slaughter are likely on YouTube, and we do allow YouTube links, but more than likely the age restrictions require the user to watch it through the YT app or website. I myself have the initiative to raise poultry, so I can understand this mindset.

However, that is where the line is drawn.

Beyond that you have the people who want to dismember an animal for fun, crush cats with high heels, or the Chinese blatantly boiling dogs while they're alive. That is the shit that will have PETA causing a headache. Furthermore, websites have been shut down over such content.

I know its the rule but why is animal cruelty are forbiden ? This make no sense for me humans or animals are the same for me so why i can see how peopel get murdert but when i pic get blown up its to much ?

As long as the video wasn’t made by someone with the express purpose of torturing an animal I think it should be allowed? If a dog walks off a cliff it isn’t technically animal cruelty, but I’d bet the book would be thrown at the poster as if it were.. 🙄

It's not an Uncommon reaction. I grew up Hunting, and ANY HINT of gratuitous Cruelty was absolutely a SERIOUS NO NO. And Be Grateful MEN Used to Understand such things, and Taught such to Boys learning to BE MEN- ESPECIALLY HOW VIRTUALLY EVERYTHING WE HAVE EVIDENCE OF, SHOWS THAT ANIMAL ABUSE AND SEXUAL ABUSE- ALONE *OR* TOGETHER, IS WHAT MAKES SERIAL KILLERS AND OTHER EXTREMELY FUCKED UP HUMANS. There is A REASON It Hits MOST Humans as WRONG, Even Tho We Hunt and Kill Animals still to Eat, Etc. It is NOT as Paradoxical as some try to pretend it is. With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility, And When Humans FAIL At That Responsibility, Nothing GOOD Has EVER Come from It.
