I remember when I was about 13 my friends older brothers room had a 7 inch venom EP hanging on the wall (a fucking holy relic to kneel before) as well as Bathory, Beherit, darkthrone... death, kreator, entombed posters everywhere... we listened to metallica and guns and roses and shit but I was quicky sold on black metal and death metal, black metal for rawness and death metal because satan blessed the Boss HM-2. Slayer quickly turned into my metallica (aka easy listening music), and metallica dropped below megadeth in my collection/playlist.Ah, Darkthrone. I'm familiar. I actually kinda dig this one. Cool song. I'm not really a fan of Norwegian black metal, it's one of those genres that's truly an acquired taste, but I'm very interested in its history. I've watched many docs about it and I find it really fascinating.
