There is a guy that lives somewhere near me with the Kawasaki 750 triple, sounds bloody lovely, I do miss the sound of big two strokes.I had this beast in '78 while in the forces. (I lost pics of mine, this is an example)
1975 Kawasaki H2 500. Bassani chambers, jetted, raised needles and K&Ns...flat bars as well.
It was very peppy and reliable.
Dropped it 2 times. First time was due to a broken throttle cable. The cable snapped at the grip leaving enough material to wrap around a broken Bic pen. This got me home...almost. As I was making a right hand turn onto one of the final streets to home, the front end kicked out sending me down and spinning into the far curb. I was ok, bent a chamber tho. What happened was, as I was pulling on the throttle with the Bic pen rig(t-grip kinda thing)I didn't realize that my hand was up leaning on the front brake lever....fuck.
Second time I dropped it was going around a left 90 leaned over too far and drug a chamber. Went down bending my gear selector...fuck.
I wish they'd bring back street 2 strokes. I love to have a Gamma
Highway patrol got me years back for having short exhaust, no baffles, was loud as fuck... Long story short when I went for the EPA test I put the stock pipe back on and passed, got home and put the shorty back onI read in a bike mag that in Britain they are testing cameras that can also read and register how loud cars and bikes are. So you you'll be doubly fucked, get done for speeding and defected for noise.

Yep! Hand gear change, you can see the black ball in a couple of shots.
