Less of a hobby, more of an obsession, but I collect all the gore I can find.
Videos mainly, but the images are building up too.
Just under 40,000 videos on my main hard drive, and around 15,000 videos unsorted on another drive.
Not sure about pics, 20,000 max, none of the pictures are categorised though, that's a job I've been putting off.

I also had that kind of stuff. But with the modern aircraft. A10, F14, 15, 16, 18, 22, 23, Mig21, 29, SU25, 34, Mi24, AH64,.. just to mention a few

Had only the French Mirage as a modern one, don't know why. Maybe I got it as a present.
Later I collected some airplanes in 1:32 but you got only a few types in this scale, so I changed to Tamiya's WW2 tanks in 1:35.
It's all gone now, as a remembrance I have only a last 8.8 Flak standing on my desk.

Art. Mostly by Patrick Caulfield. I have several large pieces and then a collection of smaller ones which he did as book illustrations for the poetry of Jules Laforgue. I got all them except 1 before he died in 2005, so quite a wise, but not intentional investment. on a side note Caulfields grave is tucking amazing

I know my walls are wonky as fuck, my house is 500 years old



3 of the Laforgues I think I have 22ish top one is 'She fled along the avenue' middle is 'Making cirlcles on park Lagoons' bottom one is 'If you stay indoors you will be sick' all 1973

My mom collected art as well, mostly handicraft from other countries she visited, like Scandinavia, Spain or France. And she liked Picasso and Dali and had some good reprints and books.

I didnt have a mirage. Yeah thats why i collected the 1:72 models I also had a lot of Tanks.. but in 1:87.
I hope your Flak is in 1:1

Yeah its a patchwork papier mache elephant I got from TK Maxx ( I fekkin love Takky Maxx i have loads of 'treasure' from there ) Your Ma had good taste <3

It's not something I hide from friends and family, but it's hard to get them to understand.
I've lost a few old friends cos they found it too morbid. The family don't get it, but they don't think its a problem with me, just not their thing. It's not something that we talk about much any more.
